House rules

These are the house rules. Use the site and you’re agreeing to them. Questions go to info@offlinemarket.app.

What this is

A free classified board with a niche focus — property, off market. It works the same way Craigslist, Kijiji, Facebook Marketplace, or a Reddit thread works: people post, other people read, and the two of you take it from there. We host the board. We’re not part of your deal.

Who can use it

You need to be 18 and able to sign a contract. One account per person, and don’t share your login.

If you post

You’re saying you actually have the right to post it, that what you wrote is true as far as you know, and that the photos and files are yours to share. Keep it current or take it down. Don’t post someone else’s property, someone else’s photos, or personal information you’re not allowed to share. Posting gives us permission to display it on the site and in link previews — nothing more.

Attachments

Rent rolls, statements, whatever you attach — it comes straight from you and we don’t check it. Once a listing is live, any signed-in member can open the files. So only attach what you’re happy to hand out. If you download someone else’s file, use it to look at that property and nothing else.

What gets you removed

Anything illegal. Anything discriminatory — wording that signals a preference or limitation based on race, religion, family status, disability, or any other protected ground gets rejected on sight. Scams, fake listings, harassment, gross imagery, scraping, and mass spam. We’ll pull the post, and if it’s bad enough, the account.

We read posts before they go up

That’s housekeeping, not approval. We’re looking for illegal, discriminatory, fraudulent, or gross content — not checking whether a price is fair or a rent roll is real. Something going live doesn’t mean we’ve vouched for it, and something getting pulled doesn’t mean the property is bad.

No warranties

The site and everything on it is provided as is. We don’t promise it’s accurate, available, or fit for anything in particular.

We’re not liable for your deal

If a deal goes sideways, that’s between you and the other member. To the extent the law allows, we’re not on the hook for lost money, lost opportunities, or anything else that comes out of using the site or trusting a post. If someone sues us over something you posted, that’s on you.

Leaving

Stop whenever you like. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules or puts other members at risk.

Who runs this

An independently run project based in Ontario, Canada. No company, no revenue, no money moving through the site. Ontario law applies. Notices to info@offlinemarket.app.
